Press Kit
Kenny grew up loving music. He started playing
guitar at the age of 14. Chuck Berry and Elvis were
among his earliest influences. Kenny's parents had
a piano in the home and one day Teddy Reidel
came by to tune the piano and after watching him
play, he lost his interest in his guitar. Kenny started
listening to his mom's records and would pick out
the piano parts. Kenny's newest influences
became Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. Kenny
would later start playing in honkytonks, casinos and
other various venues. Kenny's music talent along
with his energetic showmanship has earned him the
respect of his earliest piano idol-Jerry Lee Lewis
who was quick to praise his playing ability. Lewis
caught Kidd's performance at the "Midnight Rodeo"
in Little Rock Ar. which would later lead to Kenny
opening several shows for Jerry Lee Lewis. Merle
Haggard, Fats Domino. Floyd Cramer, Waylon
Jennings, Hank Sr., Hank Jr. are among other
influences. Kenny has toured the U.S. as a
headliner and as an opening act for major artists.
Kenny's love for music, his sheer ability to entertain
a crowd and connect with his audience is what it
takes to make his show one you will not want to
miss!(to read more go to www.kennythekidd.com)

OUT OF THE 5 DAYS THAT WE SPENT THERE, 2 DAYS OF IT WE SPENT AT THE BEER BARREL SALOON. THIS IS WHEN WE WATCHED KENNY KIDD, LISA AND THE BAND PLAY FOR MANY HOURS. "A lad named Kenny Kidd, whom I had heard of but never met, also sat in for a few songs. He's from Beebe, Arkansas, near Searcy, and plays the piano quite vigourously in the manner of those of us who were inspired by Jerry Lee and other boogie-woogie piano players. He plays rock n roll like a veteran".
Larry Don
"The music was a great mix of old and new stuff, some southern rock, a little Blues and of course good ol' Rock. Kenny the Kidd was back from last year jammin' the keys. Again, he had us rocking with his screamin' piano playin'" Wile E
