A
native Arkansan, Sharons' talents became evident early in life
when, at the age of 12, she was challenged to play drums and to
represent her elementary school band. Her peers were amazed at her
god gifted talent, she was a natural. Sharon came from a background
of singers consisting of her mom and two sisters. Sharon would soon
be playing drums in a country band which her mother was the lead
singer. She was playing drums at the age of 14 in local bands and
continued throughout high school. After graduating high school
Sharon, she went int the music business full time. In 1982 Sharon
landed a full time job at Magic Springs Amusement Park and was also
playing other gigs in her spare time. In 1985 Sharon moved to Kansas
City ,Missouri and toured with several bands playing all variety of
music including pop,rock rhythm and blues,country, top 40 ,jazz and
the list goes on. It was in 1990, Sharon decided to move back to
Arkansas. She landed a job in a band called Say What, a variety act
which also included an Elvis Tribute show. In this band Sharon would
go on to opening for several major acts, George Jones,Lorrie
Morgan,Mel Tillis,Restless Heart, Roy Clark and several others. This
band eventually landed a gig playing at Graceland in Memphis,Tn for 7
years. Sharon left this band in 2000 to work and travel with a well
renowned corporate band the Pink Flamingos out of New Mexico. She
would stay with this band for 7 years . In 2007, Sharon decided to
join a local Swing Band until coming across the Kenny Kidd band which
she is currently the drummer, providing great vocals and harmonies.
A self-taught musician and singer, her talents have taken her all
around the State and across the US.
